Chelsea striker Diego Costa says he has been told by manager Antonio Conte that he is no longer in the club's plans.

The 28-year-old scored 20 goals in 35 Premier League games to help the Blues win the title but now appears set to leave Stamford Bridge.

"I'm a Chelsea player, but they do not want me there," Costa said.

"Antonio Conte has told me by message that I do not follow at Chelsea and that's it. Conte said he did not count on me for next season."

Manchester City have formally announced the signing of Benfica goalkeeper Ederson.

City have completed their second signing of the summer after finalising the £35million deal for Benfica goalkeeper Ederson.

Terms were agreed with the player and his Portuguese club last week but the move was held up while severance of the 23-year-old's third-party ownership agreement was negotiated.

Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure has signed a new one-year deal with the Premier League club.

The 34-year-old has played 299 games for City, scoring 81 goals, since joining from Barcelona in 2010.

Earlier this season, Toure was left out of the Champions League squad and manager Pep Guardiola fell out with the player's agent, Dimitri Seluk.

"I am delighted. I told myself the journey at City is not done," Toure told the club's website.

Ghana has dropped four places in the latest FIFA Ranking leaving the country in the 49th position globally and 9th in Africa as the free tumble for the Black Stars continues.

The decision not to play any international friendly on the last FIFA free date two months ago still looks taking a toll on the ranking for the country.

With no matches played since last month for national teams, the coefficients for the last matches are still being considered which accounts for the Black Stars' drop in the latest ranking released for June 2017 on Thursday.

Golf star Tiger Woods was arrested on a drink-driving charge in Florida early on Monday morning, police say.

Police recorded the arrest at 07:18 local time (11:18 GMT). The golfer was released a few hours later, records from Palm Beach County police show.

He was arrested in the town of Jupiter at around 03:00 local time, media reports say. He has not made any comment.

The police record lists the charge as Driving Under the Influence (DUI).
