Wa All Stars coach Sarfo Castro has officially left the club after only four weeks in charge, citing personal reasons.

The former Berekum Chelsea boss joined the 2016 champions last month following the sacking of Mumuni Sokpari but failed to improve the team after seven games in charge.

He recorded four defeats and three draws in the process with the club languishing at the bottom with seven points.

"I wasn't under any pressure to leave my position. I only exited as a resulted of personal decision," Castro told Goal.

"This was in the best interest of the club because I have it at heart and wants the best for them. Nobody knows the future since I can return one day.

"I wish them all the best and hope they can beat the drop in my absence. There are 18 more games to end the season and a lot can change within this period," he added.

According to Goal's sources, assistant coach Issah Najahu will be in charge until the end of the first round of the season before a new coach takes over.
