Class one referee Nuhu Liman was yesterday injured on the head during match week 8 fixture between Elmina Sharks and Medeama at the Ndoum Park yesterday 18th April 2018.

Lamin could not continue the game during the second half of the game due to the injury he sustained when he was been escorted to the referees dressing room by the Police. He was rushed to the hospital for further treatment and was discharged the same day.

After almost two hours of several interactions with the match commissioner, referees and both clubs representatives, the fourth referee decided to handle the match but the away team (Medeama) protested not to continue the match because it was against the rules and regulations of the Ghana Football Association (GFA).

Therefore, the match had to come to an end abruptly.  This is the second time referee Nuhu Liman has been attacked. The match official suffered similar fate last weekend at the Golden City Park in Berekum when Berekum Chelsea lost 1-0 to Dreams FC.
