Hearts Of Oak Lost Friendly Against Elmina Sharks

Accra Hearts of Oak lost a friendly game against Elmina Sharks in their new home ground the Cape Coast stadium. The game was a ding dong affair for both teams. Benjamin Arthur and Ebo Mends of Sharks were shown a yellow card in the 16th and 38th minutes.

Sharks created a lot of chances compared to Hearts but unsuccessful in converting to goals leading to a goalless first-half.

Hearts made three changes before the whistle was blown to begin the second half. Evans Quao, Selasi Bakai and Radji Ovouka came in to replace Joshua Otto, Samudeen Ibrahim and Cosmos Dauda respectively.

Inusa Musa and Malik Akowua were sent off the game for Richard Akrofi and Fatauo Mohammed to continue for the Phobians. Fatauo Mohammed was booked in the 82nd minutes.

The 87th minute’s goal by Benjamin Tweneboah gave the away team victory over Hearts. Isaac Donkor came in to take over from Suraj Ibrahim in the 90th minutes for Sharks. The referee ended the game after the 90+5 minutes was over.

The results from other friendly games are, Medeama 5-0 Sekondi Hasaaca, AshGold 1-2 Liberty Professionals, Asante Kotoko 2-0 New Edubiase, Dreams 0-0 Inter Allies, Eleven Wonders 1-0 Kintanmpo F.C., Skyy fc 3-2 Karela, Okyeman Planners 0-0 WAFA and Brong Ahafo United 1-0 Bechem United.
