Presbyterian Senior High School made their first and only trip to the Sprite Ball Championship finals a historic one with a close 25-22 victory over 4 time winners Mfantsipim.

The final was a rematch of the opening game of the 2017/2018 which the Greater Accra Champions,won by 45-14 to spark talk as favourites to win the competition right from the onset.

Led by guard Joel Koboayere, Presbyterian Senior High School, set the pace with strong post play and reliable free throw shooting to help them emerge from several sticky situations throughout the encounter with Mfantsipim.

In the women’s division Kumasi Girls High School required overtime to dispatch Accra Wesley Girls High School to emerge winners,atoning for their painful defeat to Wesley Girls High School in the previous edition.

Center Abigail Agyapomaa stepped up to the line with the game tied at 29-29,hit one of two free throws to hand Kumasi Girls High School the required separation.

Their first ever title was sealed with a 30-29 win in the most dramatic fashion.
