Azumah Nelson Fight Night officially launched

Ghanaian boxing legend Azumah Nelson together with HeMann Boxing Promotion on Tuesday launched the Azumah Nelson Fight Night.

The Azumah Nelson Fight Night previously the VIP Fight Night is a quarterly bout aimed at providing a prestigious platform for boxers to showcase their talents.

The event which comes off on April 1 at the Bokum Boxing Arena was officially launched at the Best Western Premier Hotel in Accra.

Lebanese Elias Farah will be on the bill on April 1

The competition which is an initiative of the former World Champion (Azumah Nelson) will give an opportunity to several young boxers to show their potentials and also give them the needed support in helping them fight to the highest level in their career.

This season will have several of Ghana’s best young boxers including Wahab Oluwaseum, Abraham Osei-Bonsu, Isaac Sackey, Emmanuel Martey, Isaac Dowuona and Stephen Abbey.

Other boxers on the bill include, Michael Pappoe, Obodai Sai who remains a household name Ghana’s amateur boxing as well as Kamarudeen Boyfio.

Elias Farah from Lebanon and Ugandan Selemani Saidi will all be on the cards for the bouts.

The Azumah Nelson Fight Night which is in its third season is expected to thrill boxing fans in the country.
