Accra Hearts of Oak midfielder, Leonard Tawiah has debunked media report that suggests that he was in talks with the Ghana Premier League [GPL] champions, Aduana Stars following the expiration of his contract with Accra Hearts of Oak.
The ex-Aduana Stars player was the fulcrum at the Phobians’ midfield in last season’s Ghana premier league with his aggressiveness and perseverance which made the rainbow boys narrowly lose the premier league title to the Dormaa-based club.
Reports are rampant in the local media that the impervious midfielder is on the cusp of joining the Ghana league Champions since his contract with the phobians has elapsed but the hardworking midfielder maintains he is quite oblivious about such news.
In an interview with ATL FM, Tawiah emphasized that he is still negotiating with the Phobians for contract extension and no other club have so far approached him.
“I am currently in negotiations with Hearts for contract renewal which we are hoping to reach a consensus soon”.

He added, “I’m currently in Takoradi for holidays and if God permits, I will leave for Accra next week and let me hasten to add that it is not true that Aduana Stars have spoken to me so all what you hear in the local media are rumors”.
He told ATL FM, “However, while I’m negotiating with Hearts, I also pray for foreign offers which I will not hesitate to grasp”. Hearts is expected to tie down Leonard Tawiah to the club within the shortest possible time.
