Ghana played out a 1-1 draw with Egypt on Sunday in their redundant final 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier played at the Cape Coast Stadium.

The Pharaohs shot into the lead just after the hour mark through veteran Mahmoud Shikabala.

Shikabala receives a squared ball from Trezeguet from the left before unleashing a stunning strike past the Ghana keeper Ofori.

But the Black Stars levelled three minutes later through Norway-based Edwin Gyasi.

He capitalized on the frailties in Egypt's midfield and raced with the ball before firing from outside the area to bring his side level.

On five minutes, Ramadan Sohbi played an excellent ball to Shikabala beside him in space before the latter released Trezeguet on the left, but the ball was overplayed!

Two minutes later, Egypt earned the first corner kick following a through ball from Shikabala towards striker Amr Marei.

On the tenth minute mark, after great pressing from Shikabala, the midfield wizard eventually retrieved the ball to to play Trezeguet in before the latter blasts high.

Ghana protested for a penalty when Raphael Dwamena went down inside the box after 20 minutes.

Following a blunder by Elneny in midfield, striker Dwamena was allowed to go through on goal but keeper Ekramy rushed out of goal to deny the Ghana forward.

There was contact but the referee thought Dwamena had already lost the ball.
