Elmina Sharks President, Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom has revealed to ATL FM Sports he will challenge the Ghana Football Association [GFA] at the upcoming congress on some issues and practices in the league.

The 2016 Presidential flag bearer of Progressive People's Party [PPP], recently on his social media page alleged there was corruption in the Ghanaian League and also lamented on the decision of the referee who handled their 29th league fixture with Aduana Stars at Dormaa.

Speaking to the media after the Match Day 30 clash with Wa All Stars last Sunday at the Nduom Sports Stadium, Nduom said he will attend the congress of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) Congress if he is in the country to challenge the GFA on the issues he raised.

“I will surely participate in the next FA Congress myself if I am in the country by then. I will look at them face to face and ask them to deny or agree. They will admit it’s the truth” he said.

Dr Nduom raised concerns of officiating in the GPL and unfair treatment meted out to them in some of their away matches.

“We are often cheated at the last minute in some of our away matches. Take a look at the Dormaa; Last minute penalty decision given was very unfair. The Linesman disallowed the penalty but the referee ruled as such”. he bemoaned.

Dr Nduom believes that football brings lots of excitement so football decisions must be legitimate and fair.

“We must do the proper thing to make our league exciting and very attractive to everybody to even attract sponsorship”, he concluded.

Elmina Sharks ended the league placing ninth on the league log with 42points.
