Kwesi Nyantakyi has earned a second term on the highest decision making body of the Federation of International Football Association (FIFA) on Thursday in Addis Ababa, Ethipia.

Nyantakyi claimed 33 votes to beat his Tanzanian opponent, Leodegar Tenga, who polled 20 in the election of members on the FIFA Executive Council.

Kwesi Nyantakyi will have a four-year term on the FIFA Executive Council after securing just six months in office in his previous victory for the same post last year.

The 47-year-old has been the President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) since 2005
His administration has seen the Black Stars qualify for three consecutive FIFA World Cups, but the four times champions of Africa are yet to end their continental trophy drought since 1982.
