The General Manager of Elmina Sharks, George Wiredu has assured fans of the club they will do everything possible to beat Berekum Chelsea on Sunday, March 12, 2017 at the Nduom Sports Complex in Elmina.

Elmina Sharks Sporting Club is scheduled to play host to Berekum Chelsea in the Day six [6] of the 2017 Ghana Premier League [GPL].

Both clubs have never met in any competitive match at the top level football in the country. The former league Champions currently occupies the 4th position on the Ghana Premier League log with eight points after five matches.

Chelsea has won two matches, drawn two and lost one. The club has scored nine goals and conceded four goals in the ongoing Ghana premier league.

Elmina Sharks on the other hand has played five matches, lost one, won one, drawn two and has five points occupying the 11th position on the league log in the ongoing Ghana Premier League.

Speaking with Asante Forkuo on ATL FM’s Sports Flash Show on Thursday, Mr. Wiredu said the “form” of their opponent {Berekum Chelsea} will not deter them from collecting all the three points at stake.

"We respect them as a former league champion doing well in the league but we have the men to do the “kill” on Sunday”, he added.

Referee Ishak Afful has been appointed by Ghana Football association (GFA) to officiate the match and he will be assisted by Kwesi Brobbey, Philip Darko and Emmanuel Ansah. Elmina sharks has reviewed their gate rate to 20 and 5 Ghana Cedis for the VIP and popular stands respectively.
