Former Ghana captain Stephen Appiah has promised to help the Black Stars excel following his latest appointment as welfare officer for the team.
The ex-Juventus star was named as one of the backroom staffs for the Black Stars team and will be working with Coach Kwesi Appiah for the next two years.
Appiah has also been mandated to help scout and monitor players for the Black Stars team and also serve as a mediator between the players and management of the team.
The 35-year-old has vowed to do his best in helping the team achieve better heights.
“It is a big honour for me to be named as a member of the technical team, he told the media.
“I am very happy for this opportunity and I will try and do my best for the team.
“It is big challenge but I will do my best and make sure the team succeeds.”
The Ghana Football Association also named ex-internationals Maxwell Konadu, Ibrahim Tanko and Richard Kingson as part of the backroom staff.
