Kumasi Asante Kotoko is on the brink of announcing the appointment of Berekum Chelsea Coach, Steve Pollack as the next head coach of the porcupine warriors.
The English trainer has earlier confirmed to the local media about his move to the fabulous lads and without any last minute glitch, the ex- Kingfaisal trainer will take in charge of the Kumasi-based club.
Reports are viral in the local media that the high profile expatriate trainer is likely to be unveiled to Kotoko fans latest by Friday and proceed to guide the team on Sunday against Tema Youth which ends the first round of the Ghana Premier league but the editor in chief of the Kotoko mouthpiece, Jerome Okyere insists Steve Pollack will not be part of the team on Sunday.
’’ We have concluded verbal terms with coach Steve Pollack and it has left with the official documentation which I believe will be done within the shortest possible time but let me hasten to add that even if we finish with the documentation tomorrow, Pollack will not sit on the Bench against Tema Youth on Sunday’’. He told Accra-based Asempa FM.
Coach Steve Pollack is expected to overturn the inherited woes of Kotoko in the second round of the Ghana Premier league.
