Play Soccer Ghana in collaboration with Manchester City have launched the “Kicking for Change Project” in Cape Coast on Saturday 17th February, 2018.

The project is a three year activity supported by Manchester City Citizens Giving with the aim of improving upon educational attainments, healthy well-being and life skills among young people.

Currently, seven [7] institutions in the Central Region are participating in this project. They include Cape Coast School for the Deaf, Elmina Catholic Cluster of Schools, Imam Khomeini Islamic Basic School and Dehia Arabic School amongst others.

FIFA assistant referee David Laryea who is a court a Circuit Court Registrar is alleged to have diverted and pocketed unspecified sums of money in court fines and fees.

This was after Chief Justice Ms Justice Sophia Akuffo dispatched three top auditors from the Judicial Service to probe embezzlement at the Adjabeng District Magistrate Court in Accra.

A source close to the registrar’s office hinted the Daily Graphic that the diversion of court fees and fines was a practice at the Adjabeng Court Registry spanning many years.

The Black Queens of Ghana were defeated by host nation Cote d’Ivoire by a lone goal in the opening match of the West Africa WAFU Zone B Woman’s tournament.  Nina Zote Kpaho scored the only goal for Cote d’Ivoire in the 70th minutes for her country.

The Black Queens of Ghana dominated the match after they conceded the goal and made everything possible to equalize but all their efforts were not fruitful.

One of Ghana’s world title hopeful, Richard Commey, has dropped one place down in the lightweight division in the latest World Boxing Council (WBC) rankings for the month of February 2018.

Last month, the one-time World title contender was at the 4th position in the rankings but in the latest rankings he has dropped to 5th place

Commey has been among WBC’s top 10 rated lightweight boxers in the World for the past seven months.
