The Ghana League Clubs Association chairman and CEO of Ashgold Kudjoe Fianoo has given the strongest indication that he could contest for the Ghana FA presidency in 2019.

Fianoo, could throw his hat into the ring to succeed Kwesi Nyantakyi when Nyantakyi’s era comes to an end.

“Let’s just hope for life, I have been receiving calls whether I will contest for it but I always keep saying time will tell,” he told Happy FM.

Ghana’s female U-17 national team, Black Maidens, will depart to Gambia later today (Thursday) as they face the Baby Scorpions of Gambia in the first leg of 2018 U-17 World Cup qualifier on Saturday.

A contingent of 18-female players, 7 technical staff and three management committee members led by Mr Augustine Asante, the chairman will be embarking on the trip.

In an attempt to keep juvenile football on a progressive toe at a galloping speed, the Ghana Football Association [GFA] has proposed that all Premier League clubs must have an U-17 side for the 2018/19 season.

This proposal is subject to the approval of the GFA Congress set for January 2018.

The Executive Committee of the Ghana FA came up with this proposal after the 3-day football summit held in the Central Regional capital - Cape Coast, to brainstorm for the way forward for Ghana football.
