The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has named James Kwesi Appiah as the new coach of Senior National Team, the Black Stars.
Astute lawyer and sports enthusiast Moses Foe Amoaning has labelled Kwesi Appiah’s imminent appointment as Black Stars head coach as poisoned chalice.
According to the outspoken former Ghana boxing boss, Kwesi Appiah’s appointment comes at a point when the Black Stars are almost out of the World Cup qualifying race and the team is in near shambles and he needs to be very careful in negotiating for his contract.
The five member search committee of Ghana Football Association (GFA) who has been tasked to search for a new coach for the black Stars of Ghana has finished interviewing the shortlisted coaches and are hopeful to name a new coach by April 15, 2017.
The first among the short listed candidates that were interviewed was Ex-France star Willy Sagnol. He faced the search committee on Friday.
