Black Stars coach Kwesi Appiah says it's important for the team to win their remaining games and hope other results favour them.

Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan wants to quit international football after the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon, according to his former coach JE Sarpong.

The Kayserispor frontman is currently the Black Stars' all-time top scorer with 51 goals in 106 matches.


Coach J.E Sarpong who is a former trainer of the Black Stars captain Asamoah Gyan has asked him to quit the Black Stars and focus on his club football career.

J.E Sarpong discovered the Black Stars captain at a young age during his time as a tutor of Accra Academy Senior High School and helped in his development as a footballer.
