Former Asante Kotoko, striker Eric Bekoe, has joined Kenya’s AFC Leopards on a two-year deal.
Bekoe landed in Kenya Thursday morning and joined the Leopards squad for the morning training session.
Former Assistant Coach of Amidaus Professionals and assistant coach of the Black Queens, Mercy Tagoe has been named to takeover as the interim head coach.
This follows the departure of Masud-Didi Dramani who has been made the assistant coach of Danish club FC Nordsjaelland.
Mercy Tagoe who happens to be the first female to be appointed in the capacity as a national team will take charge of the Black Queens in the interim.
Ghana’s Daniel Amartey looks set to be on his way out of Leicester City as the Foxes have turned to fellow Ghanaian Daniel Opare to boost their defensive options according to reports in the Daily Mail.
Amartey has struggled for playing time since joining in 2016 and has featured as a makeshift right full back for the 2016 premier league champions since the appointment of Frenchman Claude Puel.
Leicester’s reported interest in Opare now suggests the manager is pursuing a more natural backup to first choice right back Danny Simpson.
Amartey has struggled to cement a place in his more natural center back role with the likes of Harry Maguire, Wes Morgan and Aleksandar Dragović favoured ahead of the 23 year old Ghanaian.
Amartey signed from Danish side FC Copenhagen and has made a little over 30 appearances for the Foxes in 2 years. He is understood to be interested in a move elsewhere in search for more playing time.
