The Central Regional Chairman of the Association of Garages, Rev. Asante Bordoh has indicated the readiness of members of the association to move to the newly proposed site at Mpeasem once they receive the green light from the Cape Coast Metropolitan Assembly.

It has been 10 years since the Cape Coast Metropolitan Assembly attempted to move all artisans around the Robert Mensah Sports Stadium (Siwdu) to Mpeasem. Last year, the Assembly scheduled the ending of June 2018 as the deadline for the relocation.

A visit to Siwdu by ATL FM News revealed the artisans are yet to relocate.

Rev. Asante Bordoh revealed that they would relocate after they are officially notified by the assembly. He said the only challenge at the new site is the unavailability of electricity which they are working with the assembly to address.

Meanwhile, the PRO of the Cape Coast Metropolitan Assembly, Richmond Yeboah has assured that the relocation will materialize before the last quarter of 2018.
