The honorable Central Regional Minister, Mr. Kwamena Duncan on Tuesday paid a visit to the mother of the late vice president, Paa Kwesi Amissah-Arthur at her residence at Ola Estate in Cape Coast.
The visit was to commiserate with the mother and other family members over their loss.
The late Amissah-Arthur is reported to have collapsed at the Airforce gym in Accra in the early hours of Friday and passed on at the 37 military hospital shortly.
Mr. Kwamena Duncan said he was encouraged to see the strong state of the late Vice President’s mother during the visit.
Speaking to the press, he stated that the strength shown by the mother portrayed her faith in God.
“She has shown very good faith that depicts the strength of her character and it should be a lesson to believers not to question God but to believe in His will and be thankful at all times”.

Kwamena Duncan also assured the late Vice President’s mother that the nation would be with her family all the way as the family goes through such trying times.
“The entire nation is saddened by the death of the former vice president and at these moments, our thoughts and prayers are with you. We are making plans to give your great son a very befitting burial because he served this nation greatly”, he said.
President Akufo Addo on Tuesday directed that flags throughout the Country should fly at half-mast for the next five days in honour of the late former Vice President.
The President also indicated the late Vice President will be given a full state burial.
