President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has promised to ensure that a lawyer is assigned to help the arbitration of the numerous litigations and chieftaincy disputes that plague the Central Regional House of Chiefs.

His promise was in response to an appeal made by president of the Central Regional House of Chiefs, Obrempong Nyanful Krampah XI in his welcome address to the president this morning.

Obrempong Krampah XI revealed there are thirty-two different chieftaincy cases pending in court and expressed worry at the drawbacks the situation brings.

In his response, the President, Nana Akufo-Addo promised to ensure that a lawyer is assigned to the house.

“We will get you a lawyer to help with the litigations before the house but 32 cases are too many and something needs to be done”, he said.

He mentioned the free SHS policy which takes off next month, the planting for food and jobs policy which has also been rolled out and the restoration of teachers and nurses allowances.
