Interior Minister, Ambrose Dery, has announced that Monday, June 26, 2017, should be observed as a statutory public holiday.

The day marks the Eid Ul-Fitr, which is an important religious day celebrated by Muslims worldwide to mark the end of Ramadan, the Islamic holy month of fasting.
