The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service has formally begun investigations into the allegations made against the president of the Ghana Football Association, Kwesi Nyantakyi.

It says it will follow due processes in investigating him on corruption claims levelled against him by President Akufo-Addo.

A statement from the CID sighted by citinewsroom.comconfirmed that President Akufo-Addo filed a complaint at the CID that Mr Nyantakyi had used his [Akufo-Addo’s] name and office and office fraudulently.

The Director of Cape Coast Metro Health Directorate, Dr. Kwabena Sarpong, says a clinic constructed by the immediate past premix committee of Abrofo Mpoano in Cape Coast will soon be put to use.

Since being handed over to the metro health directorate in 2016, the clinic which was financed with proceeds from the sale of premix fuel has been lying fallow generating a lot of discussions among fisherfolks of the area.

Head of Ghana Football Association, Kwesi Nyantakyi

President Nana Addo has ordered the immediate arrest of the head of Ghana Football Association, Kwesi Nyantakyi for defrauding by false pretence.

According to Citi FM‘s sources at the presidency, President Akufo-Addo issued the order after a security briefing on Anas Aremeyaw Anas’ latest investigative exposé on Ghana’s football scene.

The film, has not been publicly screened yet but it is believed that Mr Nyantakyi who has been the president of the Ghana Football Association for 13 years may have been caught on camera in a compromised position.

The General Overseer of the Glorious Word Power Ministry, Apostle Dr. Isaac Owusu Bempah, last Saturday, visited the Kotokuraba Market to interact with market women and bless them.

Aps Bempah who had come to Cape Coast for a program organized by the Ahava Revival Outreach, UCC used the opportunity to visit the market women.

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo on Sunday announced that Senior High Schools (SHSs) in the country are going to benefit from massive infrastructural development by the close of the year.

He said procurement processes were on-going for the government to supply 70,000 mono-desks whilst 42 community SHSs would be upgraded into a model status.

A total of 75 selected existing SHSs in the country would also be expanded for more students to benefit from the Free SHS implementation policy during its second year and beyond.

The struggling National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) has been indicted for wanton financial waste and abuse of procurement processes.

Audit work done by the Ghana Audit Service shows that the Authority may be losing close to 23 million Ghana cedis, plus over 3 million dollars, through duplication of contract activity and unsubstantiated payments.

The Authority has also been found to have abused the Single Source Procurement method as stipulated by law.
