The Vice Chancellor of the University of Cape Coast, Prof Joseph Ghartey Ampiah has inaugurated the College of Distance Education Implementation Committee (CRIC).
The committee is mandated to implement recommendations proposed by the previous committee and also to ensure an effective operation that will give a new phase to the College of Distance Education (CoDE).
The members are Professor Stephen Bugu Kendie as the Chairperson, Prof. Edward Marfo Yiadom, Prof J.V Mensah and Prof. J.K. Mintah. The rest include Mr Jeff Teye Onyame and Mr. Emmanuel Aidoo.
Vice Chancellor, Prof Joseph Ghartey Ampiah, urged members of the Committee to work hard to achieve the purpose for which the committee was set.
He said as part of University Management’s commitment to support the team, it will deepen collaboration and provide the needed support to enhance their operations to ensure a progressive transformation of the College of Distance Education.
On his part, Chairperson of the committee, Prof Stephen Bugu Kendie expressed appreciation to the Vice Chancellor for considering them in the build up to the setting of the committee. He said together with his team, they were ready to put all intellectual resources together to ensure the committee achieves its purpose.
Professor Kendie said the committee is open to new ideas and philosophies that will facilitate the development agenda of CoDE.
