SSA-UCC swears in new chair

Senior staff Association of University of Cape Coast (SSA-UCC) has officially held a ceremony to sendoff its chairperson, Mr. Daniel Arthur Egyir and hand over the mantle to the vice, Mr. Charles Amos Odoom.

The transfer of power became necessary due to Mr. Egyir‘s promotion to become a member of the Ghana Association of University Administrators (GAUA).

Per the constitution of SSA-UCC, the exit of the chair ahead of his stewardship demands that his vice be sworn in to complete the mandated years until the next election is held.

In this instance, Mr. Charles Amos Odoom will serve two years as chair.  At the ceremony on Thursday, secretary of SSA-UCC, Mr. kofi Adom Nyankey applauded the out gone chair for his tremendous contributions to the association and said his good work will be continued.

The out gone chair, Mr. Daniel Arthur Egyir interacting with ATL FM News said by dint of hard work, determination and support from his team, his tenure was a success.  He was grateful to his team for their hard work and advised them to live in harmony and support the new chair.

Mr. Odoom, the newly sworn in chairman pledged to work effectively to further the cause of the association.
