Some students of the University of Cape Coast [UCC] have called for innovative ways to improve the conduction of elections on campus to ensure more credibility and convenience to enhance participation by the larger student public in future elections.
Yesterday’s election was relatively smooth with minimal record of problems. Turnout was reportedly low particularly for level 400’s and 300’s who were mostly expected from the diaspora.
Whilst some express satisfaction with the process, others propose ways such as the extension of the campaign period ahead of the elections to enable aspirants have ample time to sell their ideas.
