The Vice President, Dr Mahamadu Bawumia says government, in Wednesday’s budget, will fully fund three development authorities namely the Coastal, Middle belt and Northern development Authorities that will be established to engineer the development of the country.
Speaking over the weekend at the 141st Speech and Prize giving day of Mfantsipim Senior High School in Cape Coast, Dr. Bawumia explained that the move forms part of the agenda of Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo’s government to decentralize government spending and build an all-inclusive society. He said the three development authorities will administer the one million dollar per constituency in the country.
The Vice President also said developing economies are shifting from dependence on natural resources to be knowledge driven.

In this regard, he added that government over the past ten months has implemented a number of initiatives to build a people centred economy. He said government seeks to create an inclusive rather than an exclusive economy.
