1997 APSU Year Group Donates To Their Alma Mater

The 1997 year group of St. Augustine’s College in Cape Coast has donated materials worth thirty thousand cedis [GHc30,000] to the school’s cadet corps and regimental band.

The materials made up of regimental band uniforms and boots for the cadets according to Kwabena Amoma Addo, a convener for the year group, forms part of the group’s commitment to give back to their alma mater.

Mr Amoma Addo noted that the donation exercise was to organize members of the year group as they prepare to host the school’s anniversary in the next five years.

On his part, Mr Michael Annie, a member of the organizing committee said the association will continue to support its school and ensure it maintains its position as a leading senior high school in the country. He indicated that the gesture was a collaborative effort of all members both home and abroad. He was optimistic their donation was going to encourage other year groups to do same.

The old boys also held brief interactive sessions with students and school management on the way forward as far as the schools development was concerned.
