Kwame Nkrumah Hall came from a goal down to beat Valco Hall by two goals to one to clinch third place in the ongoing fresher's inter hall football competition.
The first half ended goalless but the dead lock was broken in the 55th minute when Valco hall’s Daniel Arthur opened the score line. Having dominated the first quarter of the game, the Industrialist were very daring at goal making few incursion to increasing their tally but they were denied by the defensive pillars of KNH.
The introduction of Mark Lucio in midfield helped to overturn the industrialist's 1-0 lead. Lucio who brought fresh energy to the game finally equalized for KNH in the 61st minute.
Valco hall lost concentration after the equalizer given KNH more edge to hunt for the winner. Oliver Offei banged in the match winner in the 68th minute when he scored from a set piece to make it to two for the hall of excellence.
After the game, Coach Augustine Kwakye Agyemang of KNH told ATL FM Sports that, “he is pleased with the results and hopes the young chaps would add great quality to the current players of KNH”.
Meanwhile, the Head Coach of the 'Industrialists', Samuel Adu Gyamfi lamented about their poor preparation. He added that the absence of his central defender, Prince Papoe also contributed to their Loss.
