A security Analyst, Habib Saani, says criminals in the country have recently become more audacious and daring raising questions of what gives the criminals the drive to attack individuals in broad day light without the fear of being apprehended.

According to the Security Analyst, the emerging trend is becoming a more security threat to the country than was thought to be.

Speaking on Radio Ghana’s “Behind the News” on Thursday in reaction to a robbery case at Kwame Nkrumah Circle where a car was snatched in broad day light, he noted that barely a month ago, there was another broad day robbery case in Lapaz where a police officer lost his life.

According to him, the occurrence of a similar incident at Circle calls for worry. Mr. Habib Saani, who attributed the situation to the proliferation of small arms among the public, said going forward, activities of local arms manufacturers must be legalised.

He explained that the country stands to gain more when they are legalized.
