Ten Staff of University of Cape Coast including ATL FM’s Ibrahim Adam have been awarded for their outstanding performance and contribution towards the development of the university.
The 3rd annual Staff Awards held yesterday at the University of Cape Coast witnessed awards given to five Junior Staff, three Senior Staff and a Senior Member.
Another Category, the Vice Chancellor’s Special Award was awarded to Mr. Vincent Appolley of the Grounds and Gardens Unit for his ultimate performance recognized by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Joseph Ghartey Ampiah.
Each awardee received a cash prize of GHS 3,000.00, a certificate and a plaque.
The Director of Human Resource, Rev. Isaac Sarbeng, explaining the criteria for the selection noted, the awards committee received 35 nominations for 15 award categories. Through thorough probe and discussions on the nominees, the 10 awardees of the four aforementioned categories were selected.
In his remarks, Vice Chancellor Prof. Joseph Ghartey Ampiah commended the awardees for their hard work and also indicated that management of the university has plans to increase the award categories in subsequent years.
