The Research Committee of the Graduate Students’ Association of Ghana (GRASAG), UCC in partnership with the executive council of the association has held a three day research seminar for all post graduate students of the University of Cape Coast.
The three day seminar which was heavily patronized by the postgraduate students catered for the peculiar statistical needs of members across the various departments.
The seminar was on the theme, “Deepening Understanding in Data Analysis” ad it exposed the students to data analysis software, statistical tools of analysis and reporting output in APA format.
Speaking to ATL FM NEWS, the head of the research committee Prince Yeboah Asare said most postgraduate students are not able to complete their academic work within the specified period of time due to the lack of expertise in data collection and analysis.
He believes the training will equip postgraduate students with the necessary skills and expertise to finish their thesis on time.
Mr. Yeboah Asare said the association in its bid to see to the academic welfare of all postgraduate students will continue to hold such workshops to improve their writing skills and any other requirement necessary for the timely completion of their research work.
