Ghanaian songwriter and singer Kuami Eugene has finally put the controversy surrounding his “Wish me well” song to bed, after teaming up with Ice Prince Armani to release a remix.
The young artiste has been on the receiving end of a social media backlash after being accused of stealing some lines from the Nigeria rapper’s song.
Kuami Eugene had been previously accused of stealing the lyrics of his “Confusion” hit song, before the controversy surrounding his latest song arose.
However, the Lynxx Entertainment signee has moved to quell all speculations by collaborating with Ice Prince to do a remix of the “Wish me well” song.
In the remix, the Nigerian rapper sings along in Twi, before dropping some rap bars towards the end of the 3:33 second track.
Kuami Eugene has been praised for taking such a bold step, with legendary Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie also commending the singer.
In a Twitter post, the Sarckess Music boss said the singer has proven that he “knows the game” by collaborating with the Nigerian rapper.
Meanwhile, Ice Prince also took to Twitter to describe the remix as a “dope song”.
He wrote: “Dopest tune from Ghana right now !!!!!!! Proud to know that IcePrinceMusic was part of the inspiration to this classic @KuamiEugene Big Up My Yute.”
