After turning deaf ears to the insults that came after the release of the snippet of “Nipa Foo” diss song, Brother Sammy recently released the full track which has a different taste and feel from the brief extract.
The song which has lines of legendary highlife artiste, Slim Buster’s ‘Wofiri Hee’ track has started making noise all over the country. One major issue that was pointed out by zionfelix.net is the recent brouhaha about copyright cases.
Veteran producer, Mark Okraku Mantey on several occasions has asked musicians to seek permission before using portions of other artiste’s songs.
The likes of Sarkodie and up and coming artiste Kelvynbwoy have all faced the wrath of the Slip Music boss for failing to request permission before using the intellectual property of his artistes.
Answering a question on whether he sought the permission of Slim Buster before using his lines in the song on the Big X show on Radio Univers on Saturday, Samuel Opoku as he’s privately known answered ‘yes’.
The controversial gospel minister further explained that he had already spoken to the producer of Slim Buster and hence does not believe there is going to be any issue whatsoever.
“Yes, I have spoken to his (Slim Buster) producer so I there is not going to be any issue”.
