As the world marks Valentine's Day, the shortage of condoms in the Ashaiman municipality of the Greater Accra region could increase the fight against HIV and AIDS.


Now a shrinking supply of condoms has upset residents of Ashaiman and alarmed them to worry by the possibility of an increase in sexually transmitted diseases and unwanted pregnancies.

 

Most of the residents are being forced to Lashibi, Tema and nearby towns to purchase a condom, a situation considered to be worrisome.

 

Pharmacies in the municipality began running out of condoms, according to information gathered by Pulse.com.gh on the crisis with shortages spreading.

As a result, regular citizens visiting pharmacies in search of condoms are finding empty shelves.
