Do you remember the popular programme By the Fireside which was aired on GTV (then known as GBC-TV) in late 80s and 90s?
It was an entertainment program aimed at instilling moral lessons into children through folkloric stories (Ananse stories) which were acted out by enthusiastic children with singing and dancing.
Veteran actress, Grace Omaboe, aka Maame Dokono who happens to be the moderator of the program has revealed that Shatta Wale was a gong gong beater on By the Fireside show.
The former MP aspirant, in an interview with with Micky Osei-Berko said that Shatta Wale is among the numerous people who have passed through her hands before becoming a star.
Shatta Wale was a gong gong beater on the By the Fireside…he’s one of the numerous persons I have helped.
Grace Omaboe also revealed that she made sure the Black Stars Captain, Asamoah Gyan, and his brother, Baffour Gyan appear on the programme.
This could be the reason why the Chop Kiss hitmaker has tried to reignite his acting skills as he has been spotted shooting a new movie titled the Trial of Shatta Wale-Makola vrs Kejetia, directed by Kobi Rana.
