Afro-beat and Highlife music group, Gallaxy have parted ways with their management organisation - Life Entertainment, just months after being signed on as the first music group to the organization.

This news was confirmed by the publicist for the group Jonathan Nii Laryea known as Jonilar when he spoke to Mani Kay, the host of ATL FM’s drive time show, Ocean Drive on Friday, 12th January.

He revealed that, “yes what you heard is actually true that Galaxy is no more with Life Entertainment” when Mani Kay quizzed.

He said after almost 7 years of working with Habour City records, Gallaxy eventually called it quits and rather went ahead to verbally have an agreement with Life Entertainment 5 months ago.

When asked what’s the next move for Gallaxy was; Jonilar said “Gallaxy is now  working as an independent artiste and are working hard on their EP that is expected to come in the next two months and also technically working on the brand to give fans what they deserve. As I speak to you, there is no manager as at now but there is shared responsibility for everyone in the team to take up and make sure work is done..”

'This is a shock to me and I’m sure the fans out there share same sentiments', Mani Kay exclaimed.

"Yes you are not far from right, but what is happening now to Gallaxy is not new in the music industry because Gallaxy is not the first to go through this ordeal. The difference is that some people decided to do it on the low but its different with Gallaxy's. In Ghana last year a  particular artiste signed a deal for different times and never talked about it publicly" Jonilar retorted.

Gallaxy became mainstream in the music industry  in 2012 and have served Ghanaians with hits after hits ever since. Jamming  to  tunes like, ‘Papa Bi’, ‘Borkor Borkor’, ‘My Prayer’ ‘Woti ti ati” ‘Love of My Life’ just to mention a few.
