Popular movie actor, Fiifi Coleman has stated categorically that there is no movie industry in Ghana.

In an interview on the Let’s Talk Entertainment Show (LTE) with Doreen Avio, ‘The Mask’ actor says producers only make their money from premieres.

“Nobody is doing the work and I understand it is because producers are not making their money back from it. Once you premiere a movie at the theatres that’s it. So, if you don’t break even or you don’t make your money back from the people who will come on a Saturday to see a premiere, that’s it. Your money is gone,” he said.

Actor Adjetey Anang says, unlike some Ghanaian entertainment personalities, he has no intentions of venturing into politics.

Speaking in an interview with MzGee on Hitz FM the actor, whom many believe can be a good politician, stated that he has no intentions of entering into politics.

With some Ghanaian entertainment personalities, including John Dumelo, showing interest in politics, Adjetey Anang stated: “I can toe the line of [leadership] in another way but not in the corridors of politics".

Afrobeat artiste Felicia Nuna Tawiah, known in showbiz as Feli Nuna, asserts that lyrics of dancehall act Ebony’s song ‘Sponsor” are influencing young people negatively.

The song, which has attracted a lot of critisms since its release, tells a story of a young girl who dates an older man who ‘sponsors’ all her needs because her boyfriend could not meet her needs.
