The Central Regional Crime Officer of the Ghana Police service, Chief Superintendent of Police Reuben Asioko, says his outfit has intensified its operations to deal with criminal activities in the region.

This, he explained, adds to the Regional Commander’s resolve to ensure a crime free environment for residents in the region, especially Cape Coast.
According to him, all criminal hideouts in the region have fallen under the police radar and will soon be struck to bring culprits to face the law.

Speaking exclusively to ATL FM NEWS, Chief Supt. Asioko explained that this effort by the police will require that residents with information about criminals inform the police for the necessary actions to be taken, assuring such people of their anonymity.

Responding to the crime rate during the Afahye period, Mr Asioko indicated that the police beefed up security leading to the low recorded rate of crime.
His indicated the police will not relent until their target of ensuring the safety of citizens is achieved.
