President akufo-addo to visit central region

President Akufo Addo is scheduled to visit the Central Region on Friday September 14. This visit is the second to the region since assuming office as President.
President Akufo-Addo will be touring some communities in the region and afford residents an opportunity to interact with him. He will also cut sod for the commencement of new projects and inaugurate others for use.

Ahead of the visit, Central Regional Secretary of the New Patriotic Party, Mr. Takyi Mensah told ATL FM NEWS THE President will visit the Komenda- Edina- Eguafo- Abrem municipality specially Komenda to have a durbar with the chiefs and people of the area.
Mr. Takyi Mensah also indicated the President would also visit the Komenda Sugar Factory which has been in the news with people questioning as to why it has not started operation.

“His coming is an advantage to us so that he will see the situation on the ground for the necessary measures to be put in place to ensure that Komenda Sugar Factory starts operation”, he said.

At Gomoa- Biriwase, the President will inspect a three hundred hectare of potato farm and a twenty megawatt solar project. He will be at Apam where a durbar of the chiefs and people of Gomoa- Akyempim and Gomoa- Edumase traditional areas will be held.
The President’s last day will take him to Efutu and later to the University of Education, Winneba where he will commission the largest lecture theatre at University.
