The Presiding Bishop of the Methodist Church Ghana, Most Rev. Titus Awotwi Pratt has eulogized the late former Vice President, Paa Kwesi Bekoe Amissah Arthur, describing him as an icon of decency and discipline who would have promoted great positivity in politics.

Most Rev. Awotwi Pratt noted the late former Veep possessed a personality that Politicians hate and love to destroy.

He was speaking at the thanksgiving service for Paa Kwesi Amissah Arthur held on Sunday at the Wesley Methodist Cathedral in Cape Coast.

The Presiding Bishop indicated that Mr. Amissah Arthur could have positively influenced persons in politics to tidy Ghana’s political space.

“If God had allowed our brother on for him to have the opportunity to occupy a high office and influence persons in politics, we would have had very tidy politics…That is why I’m saying people like this icon of decency and discipline will never be loved, but the Lord knows best, Paa Kwesi will remain evergreen in our hearts and our minds”.

Addressing the congregation, Most Rev. Awotwi Pratt explained the current nature of politics and justice delivery in the country is rather a shame and called on law experts to expose and punish corrupt individuals in high offices.
