FDA cautions Ghanaians on fake Lavet Feminine Wash

The Food and Drugs Authority is cautioning the general public against the purchase of expired and relabeled Lavet Feminine Wash on the market.

The FDA indicates the product has already been ‘clandestinely distributed to various pharmacies, Licensed Chemical shops, herbal and cosmetic shops across the country.

The product, which has a manufacturing date of February 2016 and Expiry date of January 2020 also has the Lot Number NLAV 820/370-400.


The Public Relations Officer of the Food and Drugs Authority, Mr. James Lartey told ATL FM News aside shop owners being asked to take the expired product off their shelves, the FDA officials are also working to recall the product.
