The suspended National Democratic Congress secretary for the Cape Coast North constituency, Simon Peter Gyakye, is calling for cool heads to prevail among the rank and file of the party.
His appeal follows an announcement by the Executive Committee of the Cape Coast North Constituency of the NDC of his suspension. According to the committee, the decision was reached following a stated misconduct pending the determination of a substantive petition against him by the Disciplinary Committee of the Constituency.
In a press release dated 4th August, 2018 and signed by the AG Secretary, Fred Kweku Appiah, their decision is in accordance with article 46 (1) of the party’s constitution and as such called on party members to remain calm and wait for the outcome of the disciplinary procedure.
In a quick response to the announcement, My Gyakye, appealed to the rank and file of the party to remain calm and exercise maximum restraint on this matter.
He said, “We trust calm heads will soon prevail to restore normalcy, peace and order in Cape Coast North NDC. We need a united front towards achieving our ultimate objective of recapturing our lost seat come 2020”.
He concluded saying, “I remain your able Cape Coast North Constituency Secretary SPG.
