The Central Regional police command is calling for cool heads after residents of Budumburam in the Central Region accused the Kasoa Divisional Police of shooting and killing one Alhassan Hamidu aged 34 on Tuesday.

The annual Dean’s Award ceremony aims at awarding deserving students and also encourage others to push for excellence.

A level 200 student has emerged the overall best student at this year’s Dean’s Award ceremony by the School of Physical Sciences of University of Cape Coast.

Ms. Angelica Maisuh, reading Mathematics with Economics, had a CGPA of 3.91 and received cash and a certificate for her award.

Head of the Department of Forensic Science, Dr. Richmond Afoakwah, reiterated the need for the police service to gain such training.

The Department of Forensic Science of University of Cape Coast in collaboration with a retired US police Officer, Sargent Michael Wayne Streed, will be organising a training programme for the Ghana Police Service in Forensic Facial Imaging.
